Brian Culbertson was at the Lyman Center in New Haven CT recently and if you haven't seen Brian live, you're truly missing out on one of the most high energy, funkadelic and "A" level shows I have seen in years. It's one of my favorites to attend and every year I anxiously await Brian's return to the CT area.
These images were all shot with a Sony A7rii with the new 70-200 f2.8 G Master Lens. Settings were on manual for f-stop and shutter speed but I did use auto ISO set between 100 - 6400. I used continuous focus with Lock On Flexible Spot and face recognition on. Please note that eye recognition was not effective in this particular case (I'm a big fan of eye recognition for most studio sessions however).
The light levels were decent so most of the time I was able to shoot between f2.8 - f.40 and with shutter speeds that ranged from 1/250 - 1/500th of a second. The video was shot with my iPhone with the exception of the opening segment which was shot on the Sony.
